Tanzania Community Networks Alliance (tzCNA), a Not-for-Profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in Tanzania Mainland and Shule Direct, an organization registered under the laws of Tanzania have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly “Provide Educational Content and Affordable Internet Connectivity in Tanzania”.

The signing of the MoU was held in parallel to Global Action Week for Education that was organized by Tanzania Education Network (TEN) and its partners in Rorya, Mara from 31^st May 2021 to 04^th June 2021. Shule Direct and Tanzania Community Networks Alliance participated to unpack the topic, “How to use Technology to support Teaching in and beyond Schools”, a focus group discussion that brought together various stakeholders working in education sector in Tanzania. The session was facilitated by Ms. Faraja Kotta Nyarandu, the CEO and Founder for Shule Direct. In addition, the CEO for Tanzania Community Networks Alliance, Mr. Jabhera Matogoro presented gifts to Yasin Majaliwa, Maiga Joctan, Jovin Makere and Vicent Amon, the “Best Students” for form one, two, three and four for Prof. Philemon Sarungi Secondary School during his visit.

During the signing event, Ms. Faraja Kotta Nyarandu said, “Shule Direct has the best principal educational content for secondary school from Form 1 to Form 4 based on the national curriculum scheme in Tanzania and the content is distributed through mini-lessons (tutorials) and interactive quizzes with tailored answers, choices and feedback for learners”. Ms. Faraja also mentioned that all content is aligned to national standards and is reviewed for integrity, quality, and relevancy by Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE). Tanzania Community Networks Alliance is committed in delivering quality educational content to schools connected to the global Internet and participate to create and develop relevant technical platforms to make available its content, namely Shule Direct content for Secondary School students, exclusively in Tanzania, said Mr. Jabhera Matogoro, the CEO for Tanzania Community Networks Alliance.
