Tanzania Community Networks Alliance (TZCNA) and Tanzania Cooperative Development Commission
Tanzania School of Community Networks (TZSCN) is a nationwide multi-stakeholder’s annual event that brings together members working with community network cooperative and those advocating for community-based telecommunication networks in Tanzania and beyond. Community-owned networks, also referred to as “community networks” (CNs), have existed for many years and provided sustainable solution to address usage gaps that exist in urban, remote, and rural areas around the world. Tanzania School of community networks has been rebranded from the well-known Tanzania Community Networks School of Internet Governance that came about in the year 2019 as a result of hosting the largest community networks summit in Africa (4th summit on community networks in Africa) that was co-hosted by the University of Dodoma and Kondoa Community Network. Community networks are designed to address the issue of the digital divide gap in rural Tanzania by providing alternative and cheaper Internet connectivity solutions to the marginalized communities, in the quest to aid them attain goals’ 4 (quality education), 5 (gender equality), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), 10 (reduced inequalities) and 17 (partnerships for the goals) of the UN SDGs.
STEM Projects Coordinator
Mr Said S. Hozza holds Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication from Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT). He is working as STEM Projects Coordinator at CREATECH with over 5 years Industrial Experience.
Lecturer
Dr Jabhera Matogoro holds PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Dodoma. He is work as Lecturer at College of Informatics and Virtual Education with over 13 years Industrial Experience. Dr. Matogoro is also the Founder and CEO for Tanzania Community Networks Alliance which is working to connect the unconnected schools and communities in Tanzania.
Lecturer
Dr. Mtaho is currently working at Arusha Teachnical College (ATC) as Lecturer and Coordinator of Research, Publication and Documentation in the ICT Deparment. He is also the CEO of The Foundation of Inclusive Development and Digital Transformation(FIDDT).
Before working at ATC, Dr. Mtaho worked as a Lecturer and Coordinator of Consultancy and Professional Services Bureau at the College of Informatics and Virtual Education of The University of Dodoma (CIVE-UDOM). Dr. Mtaho has more than 16 years of experince working in higher learnjng institutions and ICT indusry as a researcher, instructor, and consultant. His areas of research include e-learning, ICT4D, Emerging Technologies, IoT, E-commerce, Computer security, and Cognitive Science research.
Graphic Designer & Photographer
Mr. Thomas tito holds a Dip in Computer graphics design and web technology from the University of Dodoma. He is certified Graphic designer and photographer expert with over three years industrial experience.
Regional Coordinator
Ms. Catherine Kyalo holds Bsc in Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Certifications in N+ and CISCO. She is currently working as Africa Regional Coordinator at KICTANet for APC-LOCNET with over 10 years of Industrial Experience.

Mr Mayur Kumar Chhipa, holds MTech in Digital Communication from Rajasthan Technical University, INDIA. He is working as Lecturer & Coordinator, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Faculty of ICT, ISBAT University, UGANDA. He has over 8 years of Teaching and Research experience.
